Mayor JM Unánue celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the General High School No. 2 «Boca del Río» / @JM_UNANUE @_BocadelRio >>>

#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- This Wednesday, Mayor Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal, commemorated the history and effort, as well as his legacy to Boqueña’s society by joining the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the General High School No. 2 «Boca del Río».

Together with teachers, students, administrative staff, educational assistance and administration, as well as former teachers and alumni, the municipal authority unveiled the commemorative plaque for the 50th anniversary of the existence of General No. 2.

«I celebrate together with you this anniversary that summarizes all the passion and determination of so many teachers who throughout these 50 years, have given the best of themselves so that today the General Secondary School No. 2 of Boca del Río is a fundamental piece for our city to be recognized as the best of Veracruz,» said the Mayor.

Unánue Abascal emphasized that this anniversary is relevant because of the importance of basic education for the new generations, especially after a health emergency where teachers gave their best to strengthen education.

He recalled that on April 23, 1974 the school was officially inaugurated by the then Secretary of Secondary Education, Arquímedes Caballero Caballero and the Municipal President, Ricardo Remes Rosales.
