#ISSSTE.- With the renovation of 47,000 computers in 1,000 buildings throughout the country, the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) is undergoing a technological transformation to improve service to its beneficiaries, said the General Director, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.

The Institute’s infrastructure, which is becoming increasingly digital and functional, has not been updated for eight years. This is the reason for the decision to replace PCs, laptops, tablets and video projectors, he said.

He pointed out that this modernization is being carried out in parallel with the construction of six hospitals and clinics, the replacement of medical equipment, the maintenance of health units and the renovation of infrastructure.

The Deputy Director of Information Technologies, Alejandra Fernández Vélez, informed that the change of computer equipment has already begun in medical and administrative units in Mexico City, such as the «20 de Noviembre» National Medical Center and the «1º de Octubre» Regional Hospital, as well as in the central offices and in the State of Mexico. This process will be carried out in five stages to be completed by the end of 2023.
