COEPRIS BC conducts a workshop to benefit entrepreneurs in Tecate / @MarinadelPilar @BCGobierno >>>

#EstadoDeBajaCalifornia.- Promoting the efficiency of procedures for new entrepreneurs, the State Commission for Protection against Health Risks of Baja California (COEPRIS BC), held a workshop for affiliates of the National Chamber of Restaurants and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC) Tecate, to issue its notice of operation and give the course of NOM 251.

During the event, the head of COEPRIS BC, Erwin Areizaga Uribe, thanked the support and coordination of the president of the business organization, Gladys Montiel, for helping entrepreneurs in the restaurant industry to have their documents in order to operate.

«The notice of operation is free and must be visible to the public, before a verification by this authority may be subject to a warning in case of not having it,» said the official.

The event was attended by 15 members of CANIRAC Tecate, who also received the NOM 251 course, which explains the regulations with which establishments dedicated to the preparation and sale of food must comply, among the main topics discussed were the contaminating agents.

Among them are the biological factors, such as harmful fauna, which can cause food contamination, therefore, the importance of proper fumigation and avoiding defects in the construction of the kitchen such as holes in the wall or floor, where cockroaches, worms, flies or other insects that can deposit their eggs in the food can take refuge.

In addition, they were informed that it is an indispensable requirement to have a notice of operation, which must be visible to the public, and the importance of having a fumigation certificate issued by a company validated by this institution.
