#Irapuato, #Gto.- In order to detect and remove billboards in poor condition that pose a risk to the population, personnel from the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSCI) carry out inspections in areas where advertising structures are located.

During the inspections, elements of Civil Protection check that the metallic structures do not present damages due to corrosion, that they are fixed and well embedded, in addition to checking that the advertising material such as tarpaulins or sheets are not detached.

Israel Martínez Negrete, coordinator of Civil Protection and Firefighters, explained that the operations are carried out all year round, but that they are intensified during this time of the year.

«They are part of the protocols that we have already fixed or formal all year round, but we emphasize more when it is the rainy season when we have the strongest winds and that is when it is likely to fall,» he said.
