#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- In the framework of the first Youth Council 2023 organized by the government of Ecatepec, municipal president Fernando Vilchis Contreras announced that in 2023 there will be a music festival for young people called ‘EcateFest’, in addition to sports and cultural activities.

The Cabildo Juvenil 2023 session, held in the open-air theater of the Ehécatl Ecological Park, was attended by hundreds of young people, who participated in a debate of proposals on topics such as art, sports and culture.

Accompanied by the president of the Municipal DIF System, Esmeralda Vallejo Martínez, and the first councilor, Ernesto Santillán Ramírez, Vilchis Contreras announced that the municipal government will carry out important activities for young people in the coming months. He specified that the most important event will be the ‘EcateFest’, a great music festival in which thousands of young people are expected to gather in an atmosphere of safety and healthy coexistence.

«In the next two months we will launch our Ecatepec festival, Ecatepec festival for young people, in the next two weeks we will upload a consultation platform for you to decide which artists you want to see,» he added.

The mayor of Ecatepec added that there will also be a meeting of young people, authorities and businessmen of Ecatepec, in order to promote the opening of formal sources of part-time employment, «so that many of you can continue with your studies and at the same time have an economic income».

Likewise, the municipal president pointed out that in the coming weeks a youth sports space will be designated, which will become a meeting place for all young people, which will have free internet access.

Vilchis Contreras also announced the celebration of a youth marathon. «I have asked several directions to organize a youth marathon, in all disciplines, and we will organize it with important prizes, economic prizes and computers,» he said.

He concluded by inviting the young people to the municipal esplanade on August 27th, where a massive boxing mega class will be held by former world champion Juan Manuel ‘Dinamita’ Márquez.
