The president of the Board of Trustees of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) of Celaya, Rosa María Suárez de Mendoza, led the event held at the Gerontological Center Casa Día, in the company of students of this renowned university and its educational authorities.

«You are a true example, your participation in social causes makes a difference and you have the power to change reality, which motivates us to continue working together to achieve the city we all want,» said Mrs. Rosita Suarez in her welcome message.

Ricardo Ignacio Rivas Castañón, representing the UPG student community, recalled that the Correcaminos Food Support Program began in November 2021 in coordination with DIF Celaya, with the objective of helping families in vulnerable situations.

With the sixth delivery this Monday, a total of 1,51 Celaya families benefited with these pantries that allow them to reduce economic burdens.

«We thank them for this beautiful action and invite them to never lose their commitment to help others, where they will always have our support as DIF Celaya to strengthen our families, because Celaya becomes beautiful with these actions,» added Mrs. Rosita.
