#EstadoDeMéxico.- In order to consolidate better access to the largest consumer market in the country, the commercial group Chedraui will invest in the construction of a new store in the State of Mexico, which will generate 178 direct jobs and more than 800 indirect jobs, announced the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza.

Accompanied by Jaime Lozano Patiño, Expansion Director of Grupo Comercial Chedraui, the state governor indicated that the project undertaken by this company is a sign of the confidence that the sector maintains in the economy of the State of Mexico.

He also added that in addition to this project, the company plans to build two new stores in the state in the coming months.

«We met with the directors of @Chedrauioficial to learn the details of their new expansion project in the State of Estado de México,» he wrote on his social networks.

The Mexican Governor pointed out that Chedraui is one of the most important Mexican companies, which, he said, provides employment opportunities to more than 44 thousand people who serve 425 sales units, including 125 in the United States, in addition, 12 percent of its installed capacity is located in the state of Mexico.

Del Mazo Maza explained that as part of the State of Mexico’s leadership in the commercial sector at a national level, the state concentrates seven percent of the commercial economic units that exist in the country, in addition to occupying first place nationally in terms of jobs generated in this area with 8.8 percent of the total in this sector.
