#SEP.- The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) published today, in the evening edition of the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), the agreements that establish the Study Plan for Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education and the Synthetic Programs phase 1 of initial education and phases 2 to 6 of preschool, primary and secondary education, which will begin their application in the 2023-2024 school cycle, as advanced by the head of Public Education, Leticia Ramírez Amaya.

At the head of the sixth press conference, where the fifth grade books were analyzed, she added that there is no legal impediment for children and adolescents to have the new Free Textbooks (LTG) on August 28 on their desks,

She reminded that, from the mandate established in the General Education Law, the SEP is responsible and in charge of delivering the educational materials to thousands of students in the country «and we will comply with this obligation», since the new LTG have pedagogical, scientific and legal basis.

Carolina Cruz Figueroa, the teacher in front of the group at the «Lázaro Cárdenas» Elementary School in Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo, presented the new fifth grade books, and thanked the SEP for taking them into account when preparing them. She affirmed that the new family of texts is made with conscience and science.
