Section 2 of the Mayan Train has 95.7 percent of track completed in Campeche / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- Only 10 kilometers remain to conclude the work on section 2 of the Tren Maya; to date, 224 kilometers of track have been completed of the 234 kilometers that make up the route from Escárcega to Calkiní, Campeche, which represents 95.7 percent of the work’s progress, informed Javier May Rodríguez, general director of the Fondo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo (National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism).
In a morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the official said that most of the almost 600 complementary works in six municipalities of the state through which the Mayan Train will cross are ready.

The CEO of Grupo Carso, Antonio Gómez García, indicated that in the northern sub-section (Kobén-Dzitbalché) the construction of the track, 107 drainage works and 73 bridges and viaducts have been completed. The construction of two stations is progressing according to schedule.

The southern subsection (Escárcega-Chiná) has 98 percent track installation. A total of 215 drainage works, 110 underpasses, bridges and viaducts are complete; additionally, 22 overpasses are under construction. These projects have generated 6,508 direct jobs.

The Ministry of National Defense is collaborating in the construction of the Edzná hotel, which is 25 percent complete in the placement of falsework in walls and accessories for the installation of a swimming pool with an ecological design that complies with environmental regulations. It contemplates the planting of more than 4,500 trees, said the head of the Operations Coordination Center (CCO) of the Mayan Train, Blas Andrés Núñez Jordán.
