UTSJR awards winners of the Querétaro Digital Hackathon / @makugo @gobqro >>>

#EstadoDeQuerétaro.- The rector of the Universidad Tecnológica de San Juan del Río (UTSJR), Fernando Ferrusca Ortiz, led the awards ceremony for the first three places in the UTSJR Querétaro Digital 2023 Hackathon, in which the participants, supported by information technologies, demonstrated their creative and innovative skills in the generation of proposals to solve 10 challenges related to real social problems.

The head of the UTSJR emphasized that this space served for the young people to strengthen their professional and personal growth, in addition to sharing ideas and knowledge through teamwork to propose actions that promote the Digital Government strategy and facilitate the economic, social and sustainable development of the state of Queretaro towards a digital society.

First place went to the team from the Polytechnic University of Querétaro (UPQ) with a project to integrate virtual assistants to facilitate the procedures and services provided by the Government of the State of Querétaro; second place went to the UTSJR team for improving the accessibility and integration of public transportation services in a single platform, while third place went to the Technological University of Corregidora (UTC), with the design of a digital platform that promotes inclusion and reduces illiteracy in indigenous communities.

This edition of the Hackathon UTSJR Querétaro Digital 2023 was attended by 40 students from the Universidad Politécnica de Querétaro, Universidad Tecnológica de Querétaro, Universidad Tecnológica de Corregidora, Tecnológico Universitario Querétaro, as well as students from UTSJR, who worked in 10 teams to generate their proposals during 51 hours.
