#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- With the inauguration of the UNAM Extension San Miguel de Allende, municipal president Mauricio Trejo assured that San Miguel de Allende is getting better every day.

«Ten years ago the UNAM campus in San Miguel was a dream, this year it will be a reality,» was what Mauricio Trejo said on April 17 during his first tour of these facilities. Today, the doors were opened to receive students.

Fulfilling the objective of having in San Miguel more opportunities for a professional career, attracting the best public and private institutions in Mexico, the municipal president Mauricio Trejo gave the last tour of the campus, before cutting the ribbon that announces the opening of the country’s Maximum House of Studies in this municipality.

«And here are the results. It gives me great pleasure 10 years later to see us in this project that began in 2013 and on that occasion, after the Lamb and Mezcal Festival, the Municipality lends a house on Mesones Street very, very nice and that is where UNAM San Miguel de Allende begins. Of course San Miguel de Allende will be much bigger if we have our maximum house of studies here,» said the mayor of San Miguel de Allende about the dream of having this school.

With the arrival of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), San Miguel de Allende is positioned as a municipality for the local and regional educational development, since it will receive students from the surrounding municipalities, so they can study their bachelor’s degree in one of the best schools in the country.
