#Cultura.- The Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the Hellenic Cultural Center, and the Institute of Culture of the state of Durango are pleased to announce the start of the Program for the Promotion of the Performing Arts in Durango -as part of the call Saberes sobre la escena 2023- which will take place from August 9 to November 29 in Durango.

In order to build new knowledge and generate learning that responds to contemporary performing arts concerns, this program was conceived to promote a positive impact on the cultural environment of Durango’s artistic communities. It should be noted that this exchange of knowledge will take place thanks to the participation of workshop participants from Coahuila, Chihuahua, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Mexico City and the host state.

The academic offerings available to the public are as follows:

Dramaturgy of the body and movement in the journey of stage staging, taught by Disley Rodriguez Asencio, from Coahuila (from August 9 to 11): currently most directors and choreographers do not impose authoritarian rules from their self, but the idea is to seek in the actor his essence for artistic creation. In order to carry out these forms of work, it is imperative that the people who act have their body well trained and sensitized, through work and body awareness in itself and in space; that is precisely what will be explored in this academic proposal.

Producing without anything, taught by Héctor Morán, from Durango (August 17 to 19): is a workshop on artistic production and continuous mobility for stage projects, with public outlets, based on the use of local, accessible and low-cost resources for management and production.
