#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- In a traditional event, «Regina I» (Regina Chávez) was crowned as Queen of Fiestas Patrias and Patronales, who together with the Reina del Campesino «Lizbeth I» (Cruz Lizbeth Aguado) were crowned to represent the population of this World Heritage City during these festivities.

In an evening full of folklore and expression of Mexican traditions, through the Direction of Culture and Traditions and with the decision of the Qualifying Jury, the new sovereign of the patriotic celebrations for this year was announced, who will also accompany the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo in the traditional Paste del Bando, on September 8, to officially inaugurate the celebrations of the patriotic month prepared from the «Forge of Independence».

With a full house at the emblematic Angela Peralta Theater and with the decision of the Qualifying Jury, «Regina I» was distinguished as the new queen of San Miguel, who was crowned by «Aideé I», queen of the Fiestas Patrias 2022.

The crowning of the Queen of Fiestas Patrias and Patronal is a contest that qualifies the general knowledge about San Miguel de Allende, as well as the sympathy and overall beauty of its contestants.

Representing Mayor Mauricio Trejo, Municipal Treasurer Raul Vallejo Solis expressed the goodness of the candidates and the importance of their popular representation: «I am pleasantly impressed, tonight we had the talent, youth, beauty and knowledge of our participants, as one of them said: San Miguel de Allende is culture, San Miguel de Allende is magic».
