#ISSSTE.- The Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Issste) has made it a priority to ensure that the medicines and health supplies for its beneficiaries arrive on time, complete and in optimum condition to each of the 1,115 medical units in the country. For this purpose, we have the National Distribution Center (Cenadi), which works in coordination with Birmex, informed the General Director, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.

The person in charge of this place, César Moreno Aguirre, specified that the Cenadi depends on the Subdirección de Almacenes de la Dirección de Administración, which is headed by Almendra Ortiz Genis. «We are in charge of the reception, storage, custody and distribution of medicines and health supplies to the medical units that use the institute nationwide».

These units, he explained, include the «20 de Noviembre» National Medical Center (CMN), 14 regional hospitals, 109 second-level units including general hospitals, hospitals and specialty clinics, in addition to 625 first-level units that are directly attended. Some of these medical units are concentrators, i.e., they receive requests/order from a group of nearby lower level medical units, to which they in turn distribute supplies and thus complete their delivery.

All the supply is made in accordance with the National Programmed Demand (DNP), defined according to the needs of each medical unit, he pointed out.
