#Veracruz, #Ver.- In an official ceremony held in the city’s Zócalo, Mayoress Paty Lobeira de Yunes kicked off the Annual Collection of the Mexican Red Cross 2023 in Veracruz, highlighting the importance of solidarity and the commitment of Veracruz citizens to support this noble institution.

«This is a new opportunity to show that Veracruzans have a big heart, that with unity and solidarity, we can help this great institution that needs us so much,» said the Mayoress in her speech.

She affirmed that the Red Cross requires everyone’s support in order to continue offering its services to the people of Veracruz. «It is through its volunteers, rescuers and all those who are part of it, who at the call of citizens come to any emergency, demonstrating the great commitment they have with others,» she said.

She emphasized that the Veracruz City Hall joins this great collection, for which he made a donation of 500 thousand pesos. «I am sure it will be of great use to continue with their operations and be able to reach those who need it most,» she said.
