#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- Headed by the municipal president Mauricio Trejo, the San Miguel City Council approved the donation of a piece of municipal land for the installation of a «Mitigare Palliative Care» hospital.

After the request was approved by the majority of the Municipal Council during the 64th Ordinary Session of the City Council, with the vote against of Councilwoman Silvia Guerrero and the absence of Councilwoman Paulina Gallardo, the San Miguel City Council and this civil association strengthened ties with the construction of said specialized center within a municipal property, which will be the first one in the entire country.

«We are going to set a precedent because it is the first hospice-type center (palliative care center) in Mexico. The association does not charge, it receives donations like any other civil association in Mexico. Let’s not forget that this land was returned to us, it had been sold by the last Administration (2018 – 2021), it was recovered and then what better use than for the benefit of the people of San Miguel» stated Trustee Faviola Correa.

The «Hospice Care» of Mitigare Palliative Care will offer free specialized care, after a socioeconomic study, for people with terminal illnesses, in such a way that it favors their quality of life for the longest time possible, through comprehensive counseling and care.
