#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- With the unveiling of a symbolic plaque and the representation of his arrival, the government of San Miguel de Allende honored the historic passage through San Miguel de Allende of Ignacio Perez, who is known as the «unknown hero».

It was in Jalpa, a community to the southeast of San Miguel’s territory, where the municipal president Mauricio Trejo and the riders of the «Conspiradores de Querétaro de 1810» cavalcade, relived the historic moment of the arrival of the «Messenger of Liberty» from Querétaro with the warning from Doña Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez to Ignacio Allende that the Insurgent Movement had been discovered.

To perpetuate this historic step of the Mexican Independence, they unveiled an honorary plaque to Ignacio «Nacho» Perez for his work in the War of Independence and to the people of Jalpa for their generosity so that the Queretaro native would reach his destination.
