#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez stated that her government will work on the development of works that guarantee the right of access to water for all Mexicans, especially for those communities that need it most.

«This Government will work hard from the Secretaries of the Countryside, Water, Environment and Sustainable Development, Economic Development and Urban Development and Infrastructure to serve the people of Mexico and fulfill them, improving access to water, building a sustainable and friendly relationship with nature, and a better future for all our generations,» she emphasized.

On a working tour of Ayapango, accompanied by the Secretary of Water, Pedro Moctezuma Barragán, the Governor indicated that water is fundamental for human development and is a priority for her administration.

She specified that in order to take care of the vital liquid and solve the problem of water shortage, it is required that the population becomes aware of the issue of water care, so she called on the people of Mexico not to waste it and to reuse it.

«We have to be aware that the participation of all of us is important so that we do not have a crisis that could turn into a social problem due to lack of water, that is why I call on you to help us. We as a government are going to do everything possible and impossible to address this problem,» he said.

While attending the inauguration of the restoration of the mural «The Past, Present and Future of Water in the Mexico Basin», Governor Delfina Gómez highlighted that this mural, created in 2010 by Abraham Rodríguez and Aurora Moctezuma, is a work that invites us to value and reflect on the care of water.
