#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The Banco del Bienestar is the financial institution with the largest presence in Mexico, with 2,296 branches in operation, highlighted President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
«It is a feat (…) Imagine what it is, against all odds, against the current, to already have a bank to disperse funds to the neediest people in the country,» he said at a morning press conference.

The President acknowledged the work of military engineers, who build banking facilities in even the most remote communities in order to disperse directly, without intermediaries, the resources of the Welfare Programs to the beneficiaries.

Before representatives of the media, he reiterated that the goal is to build and equip 2,700 branches in order to guarantee their operation for the benefit of the people.

The Chief Executive highlighted that the delivery of the Pension for the Welfare of the Elderly, scheduled until September 28, is being successfully carried out.

«Fortunately, the whole system has worked and everyone has been paid or is about to finish (collecting)», he said.
