#EstadoDeGuerrero.- The first weekend of the Sports Summit Guerrero 2023 was successfully carried out in the different disciplines that marked the opening whistle, so national and foreign visitors enjoyed the beach and the wonderful weather of the port of Acapulco.

The Acapulco Beach Volleyball Cup brought together girls, boys and young people accompanied by their families and teams, from states such as Queretaro, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Morelos, Guerrero and Puebla; who had exciting matches on Tamarindos beach and had time to enjoy the local gastronomy.

As for martial arts, the fifth UIAMA Cup began, with the participation of teams from Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela and various states of the Mexican Republic; this event generated the mobility of more than 1,800 people who stayed mostly in the golden zone of Acapulco.

For the first time, the NABBA South American Bodybuilding Championship was held, which also brought together participants from 4 South American countries and different Mexican states at the Jai Alai Casino, where a gala atmosphere was experienced.

It is important to mention that hotel occupancy in the golden zone of the port exceeded 83 percent and was noted to a great extent by the presence of athletes and accompanying persons who toured the area and consumed in restaurants and stores.

Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda for the second consecutive year has made Guerrero the month of sports in October, making the Home of the Sun the focus of national and international sports operators, after winning in Madrid, Spain, two international awards for the realization of the Sports Summit 2022.

The Ministry of Tourism of Guerrero, directed by Santos Ramirez Cuevas, has good forecasts for this month of October in terms of sports tourism and meetings, since in addition to the Sports Summit, the International Mining Convention will be held this month with more than 10 thousand attendees.
