The Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra will premiere Mikołaj Górecki’s Divertimento / @alefrausto @cultura_mx >>>

#Cultura.- The Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes (OCBA) of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal) will present countertenor Iván López Reynoso as guest soloist performing Cantata 82, Ich habe genug, by Johann Sebastian Bach, this work was first performed on February 2, 1727 for the feast of the Purification of Mary, in Leipzig.

During its second program of the Second Season 2023, the OCBA, under the artistic direction of Luis Manuel Sánchez, will have a first performance on Thursday October 5 at the Sala Manuel M. Ponce of the Palacio de Bellas Artes at 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday October 8 at the Auditorio Silvestre Revueltas of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música at noon.

Iván López Reynoso is originally from Guanajuato. As a countertenor he debuted with the cantata Carmina Burana, by Karl Orff, and later played the lead role in the opera El pequeño príncipe, by Federico Ibarra, of which he made his first recording. He has been associate conductor of the UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra, interim artistic director of the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra and Erster Kapellmeister of the Braunschweig State Theater. He currently serves as artistic director of the Orquesta del Teatro de Bellas Artes and as principal guest conductor of the Oviedo Filarmonía.

Mikolaj Górecki composed Divertimento in 2009, a work in three movements, premiered in the Polish city of Poznan in 2011. It will be performed for the first time in Mexico by the Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes.
