BC Health Department announces «Pink Route» against breast cancer / @MarinadelPilar @BCGobierno >>>

#EstadoDeBajaCalifornia.- In order to provide free mastography services to all women in the State, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Baja California Ministry of Health set up the «Pink Route» in communities in vulnerable situations.

It consists of the installation of mobile health units equipped with mastographs and doctors for the timely detection of breast cancer in women 40 years of age and older, informed the Secretary of Health, J. Adrián Medina Amarillas.

«By instruction of our governor Marina del Pilar, women in vulnerable situations, from 40 to 69 years old, will be able to have a mastography without having to go to a hospital, we bring the services closer in the search to strengthen the timely detection of breast cancer, the route will start in the state capital, then will travel the coastal area,» he said.

October is the month dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness, where actions are reinforced for the timely diagnosis of this disease in women, which helps to save lives, that is why with this project, we will be able to reach more women and detect the disease in time, she added.

The «Pink Route», which will bring free mastographies to the community, will travel to the following locations in Mexicali, in a first stage, and later to other municipalities in the state.
