Mexican government sends two flights to Israel to repatriate Mexicans in conflict zone / @aliciabarcena @SRE_mx >>>

#SRE.- On instructions from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, two Mexican Air Force aircraft will travel this Monday to Tel Aviv, Israel, to transport Mexican nationals seeking to leave the country following the violence that has been taking place in the region since this weekend.

The flights will be coordinated by the Ministries of National Defense (Sedena) and Foreign Affairs (SRE); the number of people who have expressed their interest in returning on these humanitarian flights is around 300, as informed by the President, although this number is constantly being updated.

The Government of Mexico, through its Embassy in Israel and the Representative Office in Palestine, has kept abreast of developments in order to respond to inquiries and calls from Mexican citizens who live in or are visiting Israel and Palestine, in addition to identifying those who have expressed interest in evacuating and will coordinate the necessary efforts to achieve this.

Likewise, through the Embassy of Israel, the Government of Mexico is in contact with the families of the two missing Mexicans and the Mexican woman, and is in communication with the Israeli authorities.

Through the Center for Information and Attention to Mexican Persons (which operates 24 hours a day), the Diplomatic Liaison Center and the Embassy of Mexico in Israel, 336 calls and e-mails have been answered, providing personalized assistance on the current situation in the region.
