#EstadoDeNuevoLeón.- After the State Government began the preliminary work that will serve to define the location of the accesses to what will be the Tesla plant in the municipality of Santa Catarina, Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda visited the plant of this transnational assembler in Shanghai, China.

The main objective of the visit to the Tesla plant in Shanghai, said García Sepúlveda, is to learn first-hand the best practices and implement them to accelerate the installation process of the Gigafactory in Nuevo León and make it the company’s flagship assembly plant in the world.

«We are very happy because everything seems to indicate that the one in Nuevo Leon will be twice as big, at least twice as big as the one in Austin, so more than in a hurry we want that record of the largest in the world, in Nuevo Leon there will be a new production line of a new model, everything seems to indicate that it is the new economic model,» said the state president.

«This Gigafactory is the world news today, the whole world is turning to Nuevo Leon and Mexico because it is the most efficient of the automotive industry, the most efficient of the electromobility industry, batteries, software, computers and most of the suppliers are already in Nuevo Leon producing for Austin and soon for our Gigafactory,» added the Governor.

In addition, Samuel Garcia pointed out that federal and local permits, among others, have already been delivered to the assembly plant.
