Tecámac’s government will start on Sunday 29th the events to commemorate the Day of the Dead / @MarielaGtzEsc @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- Next Sunday, October 29th, the Government of Tecámac will begin the commemoration of the Day of the Dead, during which different events and contests will be held to give it a higher profile and which will culminate on November 1st with the traditional delivery of the «calaverita tecamaquense» (little skull).

The first major activity will be the third Day of the Dead Night Ride, which will take place at the Sierra Hermosa Ecological and Sports Park, starting at 6:00 pm.

On Monday 30, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the esplanade of the Municipal Palace, the Spooky and Furry Day of the Dead will take place, with a costume contest for pets, and at 7:00 p.m. the 2nd Living Catrinas and Catrines contest, in four different categories.

These two events will be replicated on Tuesday 31 at Héroes Tecámac starting at 6:00 p.m., while on the esplanade of the Municipal Palace the 5th Catrinas Contest will be held, with the theme of extinct trades, at 7:00 p.m., and the three best ones will be awarded prizes.

The delivery of candy as part of the traditional calaverita will take place on Wednesday, November 1, for which vouchers will be distributed among the children of Tecamaquenses.

The municipal government, headed by Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting these traditions, which are part of the rich culture of our country.
