#ISSSTE.- In November, the call will be launched to fill medical staff positions at the Hospital Clinics (CH) being built in Palenque, Chiapas, and Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, informed Pedro Zenteno Santaella, General Director of the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Issste).

During the seventh supervision of the construction of the Palenque CH, after congratulating the National Day of the Physician, he called on them, as well as the nursing staff and specialists, to sign up and be the first to work in the new units to be opened by Issste in Chiapas and Baja California.

They are preliminarily scheduled to be inaugurated by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the first quarter of 2024. The medical units will be equipped and operating at 100 percent, with enough personnel to provide good care and a space that meets the medical demands of the region, he added.

The Palenque CH will have 20 census beds, a CT scanner and hemodynamics service; it will provide coverage to 69,000 beneficiaries in the municipalities of Salto de Agua, Yajalón and Ocosingo, in the state of Chiapas, as well as the neighboring part of Tabasco; in the event of a medical emergency it will attend to the general population, said Pedro Zenteno.

The CH is the result of an ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of Issste affiliates and the community in general in Palenque and the surrounding area. The project is designed to meet the growing healthcare needs in the region and improve the quality of services available, he added.
