#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- The government of Ecatepec, through the Municipal Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office and the municipal DIF system, presented the first Peace Cell made up of specialists, whose objective will be to watch over the integrity of children and adolescents in the school environment to prevent bullying in the municipality, informed the honorary president of the DIF Esmeralda Vallejo Martínez.

She explained that the members of the Célula por la Paz will be the first responders in situations that put children and adolescents at risk in order to safeguard their integrity.

Vallejo Martinez said that this group is made up of professionals specialized in psychology, criminology, nutrition and law, and will be the ones who will attend emergency situations within schools, so that students feel safer.

For his part, the Municipal Human Rights Ombudsman of Ecatepec, Edgar García Madrigal, indicated that personnel from the Municipal Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office, the municipal DIF system and the departments of Education and Culture, Diversity, Public Safety and the Municipal Institute of Women and Gender Equality will be in charge of supporting the work against violence in the municipality’s educational centers.

The President of DIF Ecatepec pointed out that, as part of the presentation of the Peace Cell, about 800 students from UPE, CBTIS 29 and CETIS 65 schools, participated in the Athletic Race for Peace, running a kilometer and a half to show the importance of peace and harmonious coexistence through sport.
