Mayor JM Unánue promotes workshops to empower the economy of women of Boca del Río, Veracruz / @JM_UNANUE @_BocadelRio >>>

#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- The work of the Municipal Institute of Women of Boca del Río continues to give results with the aim that the women of Boca del Río can have access to training in different workshops that allow them to undertake to promote positive changes in their economy.

This was stated by Mayor Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal, who went to the facilities of the institute to present awards to women and men who successfully completed the «Furniture Upholstery» course that took place from June to October.

«In conjunction with ICATVER and the Municipal Institute of Women of Boca del Rio did a great job in training all those who participated to acquire the knowledge of this interesting trade, which should be exploited depending on the needs that each one requires,» said the mayor.

In coordination with the Instituto de Capacitación para el Trabajo del Estado de Veracruz (ICATVER), 22 women and 2 men received their documentation certifying that they have the necessary knowledge for furniture upholstery.

Unánue Abascal emphasized that the Municipal Institute of Women seeks to improve the integral development and quality of life of the women of Boqueña, in this case, by offering courses, training and other activities that contribute to their empowerment.

It is worth remembering that IMMUJERES offers other services such as Social Work, Psychological Attention, Legal Orientation and Community Center at its facilities located at Av. 7 s/n between Calle 1 and Calle 18 of the Venustiano Carranza neighborhood, with service hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

For his part, Ruben Hernandez Hernandez, Director of ICATVER Veracruz Unit, stressed that people who completed the course strengthen their skills and abilities to develop personally and generate economy for their homes, also thanking the Mayor of Boca del Rio for his support.
