In Veracruz, Boca del Río Municipal Government prepares for the arrival of Cold Front 8 / @JM_UNANUE @_BocadelRio >>>

#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- The Mayor of Boca del Río, Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal, has implemented a preventive operation in response to the alert issued by the state authorities due to the arrival of Cold Front 8 and its effects on the municipality.

Following up on the Gray Alert, a northerly event is expected from Monday afternoon until Wednesday with sustained winds of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour with possible gusts between 90 and 110 kilometers per hour.

For this reason, the operational areas are already on alert, such as the Municipal Civil Protection Department, Government, Municipal Transit, Public Cleaning, Public Lighting, Municipal Police, Public Works, Urban Maintenance Department and Commerce.

Therefore, Unánue Abascal urges the people of Boqueño to follow the recommendations issued by the municipal authority, as this will reduce the risks of the strong gusts of wind that will be present in the coming days.

Recommendations:
-It is recommended the suspension of outdoor work, at heights, on ladders, scaffolding or others.
-Prior to the northern event, clean and remove trees near houses, using appropriate personal protective equipment.
-Cover and secure materials such as sand, gravel, accumulated debris, wood, etc., as they can become projectiles with the force of the wind.
-Stay away from billboards, signs and trees that may fall with the wind.
-It is recommended to pick up the garbage generated at the construction site to prevent it from being spread through the air and causing damage.
-Secure doors, awnings, windows, solar panels, decorations, garbage cans, windows, empty water tanks and other empty containers that are not fastened.
-Do not light bonfires, the wind can start or spread fires.
-Avoid leaving the house and if it is necessary or urgent to leave it, pay attention around to avoid possible risks.
-Remember to keep your pets in a safe place.
