Mexico’s government and business sector promote conscious and responsible consumption in El Buen Fin 2023 / @SE_mx >>>

#Economía.- In announcing the start of El Buen Fin 2023, the Mexican Government, through the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Tourism, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) and the Tax Administration Service (SAT), and business chambers promoted conscious and responsible consumption during the program’s duration.

The Undersecretary of Industry and Commerce, Abel Romero López, unveiled a decalogue designed at the Ministry of Economy to take better advantage of this event: plan purchases; quote in advance, prioritize durable or truly indispensable goods; verify that you are buying in a registered establishment; consult the terms and conditions of goods and services; verify exchange and/or refund policies; support and buy in micro, small and medium-sized establishments; verify that your purchase applies to participate in the SAT sweepstakes; denounce practices that discourage free competition; and make responsible purchases.

«I would like to extend a thoughtful invitation to all consumers to reflect on their purchases; to value and support our national products and to support small and medium-sized businesses, who are fundamental pillars of our economy,» he said.

The central administrator of SAT’s Tax Services, René Guzmán García, announced the details of the El Buen Fin 2023 Sweepstakes, which will be held on December 8 and as of December 11 the winners will be available for consultation and the prizes will be paid no later than January 9.

He indicated that for businesses there is a grand prize of 260 thousand pesos and a little more than 4,900 prizes of 20 thousand pesos, which is equivalent to an amount of 100 million pesos. Meanwhile, in the case of consumers, there will be a jackpot of 250 thousand pesos and more than 321 thousand prizes ranging from 500 to 20 thousand pesos with an accumulated purse of 400 million pesos.
