Incidence of crime in Oaxaca falls; Mexican government prioritizes dialogue to resolve agrarian conflicts / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed the progress made in terms of security in Oaxaca, which in October reported a drop in intentional homicides and human trafficking, as well as house, vehicle and transport robberies.

The Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, informed that Oaxaca is below the national average in the incidence of intentional homicides in the current administration, according to data from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System.

In terms of total impact crimes, the state ranks 25th at the national level. The federation, in coordination with state authorities, is stabilizing the incidence of kidnapping and extortion by telephone.

There are 25,96 operational members of the Mexican Army and Air Force, the Secretary of the Navy, the National Guard and state and municipal police forces deployed in Oaxaca, prioritizing attention in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca de Juarez, San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec, Salina Cruz and Huajuapan de Leon.

The National Guard has one state coordination and 15 regional ones. The corporation has 14 completed companies in addition to the five companies ceded by the Mexican Army. The Mexican Government is contemplating the completion of an additional company, with which there will be 20 barracks by the end of 2023.

The security forces are intensifying their attention in Oaxaca de Juárez, Huajuapan de León, Juchitán de Zaragoza and San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec, municipalities that concentrate 30 percent of criminal acts, said the head of Sedena.

The secretary general announced that Salomón Jara Cruz, governor of the state, has attended 228 of the 246 state coordination sessions for the construction of peace and security carried out a year after the beginning of his administration.
