#CuautitlánIzcalli, #Edoméx.- The Cutzamala system is currently facing a water crisis, according to the latest information, the levels of the water sources have reached historic lows, this situation has generated that some colonies of Cuautitlán Izcalli are affected by the lack of supply from this source, for its part, the president Karla Fiesco, in coordination with Operagua are working closely together to implement emergency measures and ensure adequate water supply, this call to action seeks to raise awareness of the situation and mobilize joint efforts to address the lack of supply, thus safeguarding the fundamental right of the population to safe and sustainable access to water.
Thus, during the forty-sixth Cabildo session, chaired by Mayor Karla Fiesco, the rehabilitation of 9 wells was approved to combat the water shortage faced by the State of Mexico, with a budget of 35 million pesos the restoration of wells 10, 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Atlamica branch, wells 259 Axotlán I, 234 Huilango, 232 Bosques de Chapultepec and Bosques del Alba I will be carried out.
These actions will address water shortages in various communities, improving the supply for more than 94 thousand izcallenses in communities such as:
Tepalcapa, Ampliación Tepalcapa, Bosques del Alba, Bosques de la Hacienda, to name a few.
Similarly, part of the El Ángulo dam will be drained to increase its capacity and prevent future flooding. This measure seeks to strengthen the water infrastructure and ensure the safety of the population in the event of possible climatic events.
Our priority continues to be to improve the quality of life of the people of Izcallenses, ensuring essential services such as drinking water supply.
The Municipal Government is committed to the welfare of the community, ensuring sustainable and efficient access to the vital resource of water, while calling on the community to make timely payments, thus contributing to the continuous improvement of municipal services.
