#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- On the eve of the holiday season, the government of San Miguel is getting ready to begin the Christmas celebrations.
The Best Small City in the World has everything ready for the families of San Miguel, visitors and tourists to enjoy the activities prepared by the Municipality, mainly through the departments of Economic Development and Tourism, Culture and Traditions, and Public Services and Quality of Life; Encompassing activities in neighborhoods, colonies and communities in coordination with neighbors and where the traditional «Tree Lighting», a new edition of «San Miguel y sus Sabores» and a cultural artistic program in the new «Winter Festival» stand out.
«It is one of the objectives of unity, of union, of bringing together all the sanmiguelenses, that they also value, that they see how beautiful San Miguel is, how beautiful we are taking care of it, but above all that we do part, that the locals themselves do and besides lend their culture, their tradition to all visitors and all tourists of San Miguel de Allende. It is to focus on those little details, so that everything goes out in the best way, with the quality we want them to receive in San Miguel de Allende and it is to contribute a little bit to the community, but above all it is: that they live it with their families, their close friends, that they live it themselves and among them the word is spreading, to generate this community that we are in San Miguel de Allende» expressed Tania Castillo, Director of Economic Development and Tourism.
With what will be the traditional «Tree Lighting», the Best Heritage City in Mexico will once again show its Christmas goodness to the world, by offering an event where, as Castillo de la Peña mentioned, the Christmas spirit will invade the municipality, marking the beginning of the dates of giving and receiving. For this emotional moment, the municipal president Mauricio Trejo will lead the traditional «Tree Lighting» on December 8th at 7:00 p.m. on the esplanade of the Main Garden, where the thousands of attendees, apart from glimpsing the spectacular decoration of handmade brass stars that cover the sky throughout the historic center, will enjoy many surprises, a public seasonal dinner that will include tamales, atole and aguinaldos.
