Mexico and the United States jointly advance Teklas case in the T-MEC MLRR / @SE_mx >>>

#Economy.- Following the investigation conducted by the government of Mexico on the alleged denial of freedom of association and collective bargaining rights by Teklas Automotive Mexico, shared on November 9 of this year, with the government of the United States, within the deadlines established in the Treaty between Mexico, the United States of America and Canada (T-MEC), both countries have advanced in the dialogue to define a fair remediation plan, in accordance with Mexican national legislation.

As in all cases of the Labor Rapid Response Mechanism (LRRM), Mexico maintains an open and inclusive dialogue with all parties involved, to facilitate a sustainable long-term resolution to labor disputes.

This includes monitoring by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) at the workplace to ensure that agreements continue to be complied with and, where appropriate, to sanction any violations of freedom of association.
