#SICT.- Jorge Nuño Lara, Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), emphasized that the Ciudad Juárez Highway Bypass will benefit more than 1.5 million inhabitants of this border region, boosting social, tourism and commercial development in Chihuahua.

He emphasized that the 32-kilometer project, which had an investment of 2.584 billion pesos, with the collaboration of the municipal, state and federal governments, will contribute to improve the transit of goods, thus strengthening cargo transportation with the United States, Mexico’s main trading partner.

«Thanks to this collaboration and that of the government of Texas, it was possible to carry out the project that will provide greater security to the transit of vehicles. This is the best example in which two countries, on one border, will be favorable on both the Mexican and American sides,» he said.

This will favor the transportation of both Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, Texas, and will prevent the circulation of cargo through the cities. The beltway is useful for industry, he emphasized.
