#EstadoDeQuerétaro.- The Unemployment Insurance promoted by the Ministry of Labor (ST) benefited 3,200 people during 2023, according to the head of the agency, Liliana San Martín Castillo, who said that the support was granted to those who lost their jobs involuntarily, offering them training to strengthen their labor profile, economic support and linkage to a new formal job.

San Martin Castillo said that the largest number of beneficiaries are from the municipalities of Queretaro, Corregidora, El Marques, Pedro Escobedo and San Juan del Rio; he also explained that of the total amount of support granted, just over 1,500 were for men and nearly 1,700 for women.

«The year is about to close and with regard to Unemployment Insurance, we continue to support the population that has lost their jobs, with the objective that they can be inserted again in the formal labor field, and while that happens they receive training and economic support of three thousand 500 pesos for two months,» he said.

He also said that the call to become a beneficiary will close in February 2024, and those who require the support must be 18 years of age or older, prove residence in the state, have worked in a formal job within the entity and have lost their job up to twelve months prior to the application, and may request more information on the requirements by calling 442 235 6600 extensions 6607, 6635 and 6663.
