SICT assumes presidency of the National Mobility and Road Safety System / @jorgenunol @SICTmx >>>

#SICT.- The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), Jorge Nuño Lara, received the presidency of the National System of Mobility and Road Safety from the Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), Román Meyer Falcón, at the same time that the work program that will be developed to give continuity to the objectives of the System was announced.

During the Fourth Ordinary Session in the handover-reception of the presidency, Nuño Lara stated that the National Mobility and Road Safety System and the National Mobility Strategy (ENAMOV) express Mexico’s will to guarantee the human right to mobility under the principles of mobility with road safety, accessible, efficient, sustainable, quality, inclusive and egalitarian.

«At the Secretariat we value human life above all else and we are committed to road safety. Therefore, we believe it is essential to continue playing this active role in the collaborative construction of the System,» he emphasized.

The head of the SICT said that the ENAMOV has a strategy that establishes the actions to be implemented by the Federal Government agencies and the members of the System.

In his turn, the head of Sedatu, Román Meyer Falcón, emphasized that the participation of everyone, society and the Mexican State, is important in the objective of the National Mobility and Road Safety System, as it is a national security issue.
