Youth’s right to work will be ensured with the reform under the model of «Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro» / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- Within the package of 20 initiatives to reform the Constitution, presented on February 5 to the Chamber of Deputies, is the one aimed at ensuring the right of young people to job opportunities.
The Youth Building the Future program is the model on which the initiative promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is based, which was detailed today by the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), Marath Bolaños López, in a morning press conference.

He stated that the proposal «seeks to guarantee that young people will never again be forgotten and that they will have a tool to exercise their constitutional rights».

The official presented the draft decree adding a second paragraph to Article 123 of the Constitution:

«The State will grant a monthly economic support equivalent to at least one general minimum wage in force to young people between 18 and 29 years old who are unemployed and are not attending any of the educational levels, in order to train them for work for a period of up to 12 months in businesses, companies, workshops, stores and other economic units, under the terms established by law.»

The Secretary called on the legislators in the Congress of the Union to support and approve the reform «and to be in line with the mandate given by the people of Mexico that there will never again be a Mexico without its young people.»
