Regional Hospital in Jalisco will benefit 2.7 million beneficiaries: Issste / @drpedrozenteno @ISSSTE_mx >>>

#ISSSTE.- The Regional Hospital (HR) de Alta Especialidad de Tlajomulco de Zúñiga is 84 percent complete and will benefit 2.7 million beneficiaries in seven states, including the 508,000 affiliates in Jalisco, informed Pedro Zenteno Santaella, General Director of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste), during his ninth supervisory visit.

The new hospital is being built with three billion pesos of its own resources. It will offer services in 35 specialties and oncology treatment with state-of-the-art equipment, such as the linear accelerator that arrived last week to provide radiotherapy to cancer patients. It also has a neurosurgical navigator, six ambulances, medical equipment and furniture.

It will also offer interventional medicine and hemodynamics. Procedures such as emergency and programmed catheterizations will be performed, avoiding transfers to other hospitals in the region or even to Mexico City, he explained.

The head of Issste recalled that the hospital will have 540 beds, of which 250 are census beds. He informed that imaging, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and surgery equipment has already been acquired for people from Aguascalientes, Colima, Michoacán, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas and, of course, Jalisco.

On the other hand, the installation of air conditioning continues. In addition, the hospital will have solar panels, boilers, waste water treatment plants, cisterns, parking and a heliport, which places it at the forefront, not only in terms of equipment, but also in terms of facilities, he said.
