#SECTUR.- The head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) highlighted that this new space provides the opportunity for students to practice in real service conditions, being guided by specialists and instructors from the food sector.

He said that Le Cordon Bleu, as the guardian of French culinary technique, comes to share its philosophy to achieve gastronomic excellence and meet the needs of the highest international restaurant industry.

Recalling that traditional Mexican cuisine was named Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010, he commented that «each dish has a meaning and a deep connection with our past, as it takes us back to the roots of a pre-Hispanic Mexico, but also to the fusion with other cultures, such as European, Asian or African, which in one way or another have exerted influence.»

He also stated that Mexico’s cuisine has evolved over the centuries, making use of new ingredients and culinary techniques, resulting in a creative, diverse and exquisite gastronomy that has transcended borders and has become an international benchmark.

Torruco Marqués emphasized that it is a real pleasure that there are more and more centers like this one, with high-tech laboratories for food preparation, which offer both theoretical and practical training, and which in turn will be an ideal tool for teaching students and all those interested in the marvelous culinary art.
