México presents priority economic projects to Saudi Arabian business delegation / @aliciabarcena @SRE_mx >>>

#SRE.- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) received a business delegation from Saudi Arabia that visited Mexico to learn about the potential and the possibility of strengthening economic ties with our country, taking a comprehensive view of business opportunities.

During their participation in the «Seminar on trade and investment opportunities between Mexico and Saudi Arabia», the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, Joel Hernández García, and the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, Teresa Mercado Pérez, followed up on the work of the Understanding Agreement, signed in October 2023.

The Agreement sets out, in general, the purpose of both countries to initiate an intensive and systematic stage of relations in areas such as trade, investment, services, human talent development, agribusiness, education, health care and information technology, among other activities.

Before Saudi authorities and businessmen, representatives of the Government of Mexico presented the details of projects such as the Mayan Train, the Sonora Plan and the Inter-Oceanic Corridor, highlighting the competitive advantages of our country to receive investments.

The delegation visited Mexico on February 19, as part of the linkage work promoted by the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and the Saudi Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FSCC).

During its visit, the Saudi delegation participated in the installation of the CCE-FSCC Business Council and held meetings with representatives of the National Council of the Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry (INDEX), the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Service and Tourism (CONCANACO-SERVYTUR), the National Agricultural Council (CNA) and the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA).
