#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- For the third consecutive year, the Municipal Presidency continues to strengthen San Miguel’s agriculture.

Committed to the agricultural development of the communities, the Municipal Government delivered 2024 bean and corn seed packages.

In front of more than 1,500 farmers, the Municipal Presidency team delivered packages of improved seed, with the objective of making the harvest yield, in addition to reducing production costs for farmers; likewise, the program «Soy Tu Amigo» in its food modality will continue to be received by the beneficiaries of the program.

«A friend is the one who is aware of what his buddy needs and this program (Soy Tu Amigo) is aware of what they need and is the number one program in the state. It is an exemplary program because it provides seed, fertilizers and tractors to plow and prepare 5,000 hectares for planting. Good luck, may there be water, may there be rain, may there be beans, may there be corn and may you invite your friend,» said Mayor Mauricio Trejo.

In response, Rogelio Pérez Cervantes, from the Clavellinas community, said that this food aid for the fields motivates them to continue harvesting: «Quite a lot, as we say, if we are granted rain, it would be a great boost for everyone and it motivates us more to work, to make the struggle to sow, to produce.

Mr. Pedro González Tapia, from Corral de Piedras de Arriba, emphasized that the delivery of seed is an immense support for the economy in the communities: «It is wonderful, because there is more production and more attention to everything, because they give us fertilizer. For me it is a huge benefit, because there are so many families who cannot afford to pay for a tractor; however, they send the tractors and it is a benefit for the whole community».
