#SICT.- At the end of the long weekend in honor of the birth of Benito Juarez, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) recommends that when driving back on the road, avoid using cell phones, wear seat belts and respect speed limits and traffic signs.

Prevent accidents; the agency suggests some simple tips when traveling on the federal highway system:

  • Avoid using your cell phone while driving, whether it is answering a call or sending a text message. Do not write while driving, this distracts you when you are behind the wheel.
  • Use, you and your occupants, the safety belt; if you are traveling with children, they should be in the back of the car and in special seats.
  • Drive at moderate speeds, respecting traffic signs and without the effects of alcohol.
As it is known, Monday, March 18 is a mandatory day of rest due to the commemoration, on March 21, of the birth of Benito Juarez and between today and tomorrow many travelers will return to their places of residence.
If you are going to drive by road, it is possible to reduce the risks and prevent fatal consequences or injuries to people due to road accidents.
