The Government of the State of Mexico sets up the first Political Roundtable for the Electoral Process / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the State of Mexico, through the General Secretariat of Government, installed the first Political Roundtable with electoral and security authorities and state representatives of political parties to guarantee permanent surveillance of candidates, leaders and voters during the current electoral process.

The objective of the Political Roundtable is to ensure that the electoral contest takes place in an atmosphere of tranquility and peace where citizens can freely choose their representatives, explained the head of the General Secretariat of Government during this first work meeting at the Government Palace in Toluca.

On behalf of the Governor of the State of Mexico, the Secretary General of Government pointed out that governance and the development of a peaceful electoral process in accordance with the law will be guaranteed.

The head of internal politics said that for this administration the security of candidates, leaders and voters is a priority, as well as guaranteeing that public officials are completely impartial and committed to the rules and legal framework of the electoral process.
Regarding the state election, it was informed that, so far, 21,028 polling places are expected to be installed for the state election where 45 deputies of relative majority, 125 municipal presidencies, 136 union offices, 30 deputies of proportional representation and 966 Regidurías will be elected.

In addition, it was announced the creation of a Special Security Committee to address security issues for candidates and citizens. The Security Protocol and Risk Analysis for Candidates of the State of Mexico will be presented at this table.
On the other hand, the presidents of the political parties celebrated the Political Roundtable to which they committed to participate in order to work together for a democratic exercise of pacification, attention and prevention of issues that may alter the Electoral Process.
