Growing demand of young Mexicans to study open high school: SECTI / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI) reports that a growing number of adolescents and young people have chosen to begin, continue or complete their high school studies through the open high school system, due to the flexibility offered by this modality.

One of the advantages of this non-school-based educational model, offered through the Open High School Department of the State of Mexico’s Integrated Educational Services (SEIEM), is that it allows those who have completed high school to combine their studies at the higher secondary level with other activities.

The SECTI indicated that, although the open high school is designed for adults who want to obtain their high school diploma or improve their work environment, in the last five years there has been a notable increase in the number of adolescents and young people between 15 and 17 years old who have opted for this option, that is, 57 percent of the enrollment of 19,740 active students served by SEIEM.
Those interested in enrolling must attend an informative talk, where they will learn what the open high school is and how it operates, and if they meet their expectations, they can enroll immediately.

They are also invited to visit the web page http://www.seiem.gob.mx to find out where to go to complete the formalities in the different municipalities of the state.

Those interested may choose one of the two modalities of open high school, either the traditional plan or plan 33, which consists of 33 subjects, or the plan consisting of 22 modules based on educational competencies, which is the new open high school curriculum.
The only requirements for enrollment are: presentation of a high school certificate, a Unique Population Registry Code (CURP), a birth certificate and two photographs. After that, a student credential is issued to allow you to apply for your exams.
