#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the State of Mexico offers free legal advice to the families of the State of Mexico through the virtual chats of the Public Defender’s Institute (IDP). From a computer or mobile device, interested persons can access the portal https://idp.edomex.gob.mx/chats where every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 to 13:00 hours, specialized staff attends users, especially vulnerable sectors of the population.

For the April program, the following topics will be addressed: Loss of Parental Rights; Administrative Responsibilities; Legal Counseling in Criminal Matters; Custody of Minors; Paternity Recognition; Unforced, Voluntary and Notarial Divorce; Domestic Violence; and Online Family Court Proceedings.

In the comprehensive counseling, the location of the competent Regional Directorate of the IDP is shared, to which the applicant must go to continue with the legal orientation and, if necessary, for the assignment of a public defender who will represent the applicant in the corresponding procedure.

These advisories, which provide legal support to the population, allow them to know the requirements and necessary documentation to initiate a legal proceeding, which saves time and travel expenses.
