#GobiernoDeMéxico.- In more than five years of the government of the Fourth Transformation, the Armed Forces have seized 8,292.3 kilograms of fentanyl, informed the commander of the National Guard, David Córdova Campos.
In a morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador he reported that the members of the Mexican Army and Air Force, the Secretariat of the Navy and the National Guard also prevented the commercialization of 702 thousand 150.8 kilograms of methamphetamines between December 2018 to June 10 of that year.

During the biweekly security report, he indicated that a total of 2 thousand 526 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were secured, which translates into 8 thousand 606.24 tons of production of this drug, which did not reach the streets.

Thanks to the security efforts in this area, the economic impact on organized crime is more than 2 billion pesos.

Cocaine and marijuana seizures have reached 219,785.8 kilograms and 769,476.5 kilograms, respectively, so far this six-year term. In this regard, the commander highlighted the National Guard’s contribution to the national effort, especially in the seizure of aircraft, vehicles, firearms, cartridges, national currency and US dollars, as well as the arrest of perpetrators of violence.
