Mayor JM Unánue inaugurates the Municipal Council of Municipal Civil Protection / @JM_UNANUE @_BocadelRio >>>

#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- In order to prevent emergency situations before the Gray Alert declared by the State Council of Civil Protection of the government of Veracruz, this Monday was installed the First Ordinary Session of the Municipal Council of Civil Protection of Boca del Rio, as part and response to the rainy season and tropical cyclones 2024.

The session was attended by representatives from state and federal agencies, as well as from the private and social sectors.

Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal; mayor and as president of the Municipal Council of Civil Protection, emphasized that since the beginning of 2024 a series of preventive actions have been carried out to face the current rainy season.

«Invite people not to throw garbage in the street, to clean the front of their homes which is very important. I want to remember that we have been carrying out preventive actions since January with the clearing of Drain B, the cleaning of the Zamorana Canal, as well as the clearing of sewers and the collection of green garbage to avoid blockages, it is very important that the population helps us», emphasized the municipal president.

It is important to note that during the first half of the year, the Public Cleaning Department has cleaned sewers, storm drains, streets, avenues and boulevards, in addition to cleaning the entrances to the Zamorana Canal and the Dren B Canal.

Through the Water Company of the Municipality of Boca del Río (CAB), the sewage system has been cleaned, both sanitary and pluvial, in order to guarantee proper drainage, in addition to this, preventive actions have been reinforced with pumping equipment, besides rehabilitating facilities.
