#EstadoDeVeracruz.- With an investment of more than 17.9 million pesos, the Government of Veracruz reconstructed Lomas Verdes Avenue, known as Camino a La Haciendita, which was partially destroyed by heavy rains in October 2022.
Given the formation of sinkholes that prevented the circulation of large vehicles and represented a danger to the population, the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Public Works (SIOP) assumed the commitment that today Governor Cuitláhuac García Jiménez delivered.
“Here we had to make a major repair, with a retaining wall and pipes for water drainage,” said the governor, together with municipal president David Sangabriel Bonilla, during a tour of the reconstructed sections, which are already in operation.
In addition to the hydraulic folder, complementary works of minor drainage, installation of lights and signaling took place, for the direct benefit of more than 22,760 settlers of the north zone of Xalapa and Banderilla.
In the municipality of Jilotepec, the Governor supervised the progress on the paving of 1.85 kilometers of concrete on the El Pueblito (Garbanzal)-La Concepción road, which impacts more than 9,000 inhabitants dedicated mainly to agricultural activities.
The investment here amounts to 9.3 million pesos and to date is more than 90 percent complete, explained the head of SIOP, Elio Hernández Gutiérrez, and the Undersecretary of Infrastructure, Herman Alderete Herrera.
