The operation of the Movimex Intermodal Mobility Card on Mexibús and Mexicable begins in EdoMéx / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the State of Mexico, through the Ministry of Mobility (Semov), put into operation the Movimex Intermodal Mobility card, which as of this Thursday can be purchased at the Mexibús and Mexicable stations, and costs 10 pesos.

Daniel Sibaja González, Secretary of Mobility, explained that the current cards will not lose their validity and can be used, so that users will be able to use both cards to make their trips on the means of transport that make up the Mass Transportation and Cable Car System of the State of Mexico (SITRAMyTEM).

“It was a commitment and a challenge to achieve it, it seems easy, it looks simple, but it is a series of coordination works, so much so that something comprehensive had never been done, it is the first card together with the Government of Mexico City in history that we are going to achieve and we are moving towards comprehensive mobility,” said the head of Semov.

Initially, 300 thousand Movimex cards were printed and gradually we will begin to “migrate” to a system that includes the transportation of the State of Mexico and Mexico City together and where the technological collection systems are integrated.

“In three months, more or less, we will begin the technological change, so that now we can fully integrate the City system and the State of Mexico system. Today it is being comprehensive in some points where there is connection, but we are going to go to a complete intermodal comprehensive system and that it is a single card and a single way for all of us to understand each other,” assured Daniel Sibaja González.

The State Secretary commented that this new form of mobility already works at the Indios Verdes station, where with a single card you can use five transportation systems, such as: Mexibús, Metrobús, Mexicable, Metro or Cablebús, which is historic.
